Bill’s List: Speakers to See and Meet at Pubcon Las Vegas 2019

Posted on October 5, 2019 Written by Bill Hartzer

Pubcon Pro Las Vegas 2019 - Bill's List

Every year at this time I hand-pick a list of speakers that I recommend you meet and see speak–the information they bring to the industry and what you’ll learn from them is invaluable. For all of the major search conferences, whether I’m speaking or not, you may be familiar with my list, called Bill’s List. I hand pick the best of the best speakers to meet and see speak at the conference. PubCon Pro Las Vegas 2019 is no different.

I’ve hand picked the best of the best, the top speakers that you personally should get to know. You need to go see them speak. And connect with them. They’re all really good at what they do, and you should get to know them, talk to them, pick their brain, and, of course, hire them.

Published for Several Years

I have been publishing Bill’s List, my hand-picked list of speakers to meet and see, for several years now. If you’re listed this time, you have earned it. If you’re reading this list, feel free to use it in conjunction with the session grid to figure out which sessions you want to attend. And if you miss a session, make sure that you connect with the people on this list, I’m sure you’ll learn a lot from them.

Bill’s List of Speakers

Here’s Bill’s List for 2019, specifically for Pubcon Las Vegas 2019. By no means is this list in any sort of order of importance: to make it fair for everyone listed, I’ve used a random list generator to put the list in a random order after I hand-picked the speakers. So, without further adieu, here’s Bill’s List for Pubcon Las Vegas 2019.

I’ve personally seen all of these speakers speak before, and I personally know about the knowledge they have: either through industry events, they content they’ve created online, or having personally spoken with or worked with them in the past. I don’t take this list lightly. You have to earn your way onto Bill’s List in one way or another. There are, of course, a few other proprietary ranking factors throw in as a part of the algorithm for the list that I cannot reveal. And I’m not revealing whether or not some have paid me to be on Bill’s List. (Well, OK, that’s a joke: no one has paid me to be on Bill’s List. Ever. You cannot pay. But, many have thanked me for including them in the list in the past.)

As I mentioned, before every Pubcon event or major search conference when I publish Bill’s List I thoroughly go through and hand-pick each speaker. There are a lot of things to consider, such as whether or not I’ve heard them speak, the topic they’re speaking about, whether I’ve met them and can professionally vouch for the good work that they do. If you’re not on the list this time, be sure to introduce yourself at Pubcon Las Vegas 2019. If I’m not speaking in a session or at Pubcon Labs, you can find me at the Majestic.com booth.
