Dr. Gwen Korovin, MD’s Google Plus Page Receives Review Spam

Posted on September 18, 2014 Written by Bill Hartzer

A day after it was revealed that Dr. Gwen S. Korovin, MD was the doctor who performed the biopsy on Joan Rivers and took a selfie during the procedure, the doctor’s Google Plus page is being vandalized. A Google search for “Dr. Gwen Korovin, MD” shows the doctor’s Google Plus page ranking number one:

dr gwen korovin md

I won’t post the reviews that have been posted by Google Plus users, but all of them are not very positive. In fact, they all pretty are very bad, and it’s a shame that people will go to the levels that they have in posting them.

Unfortunately, I doubt that Google will step in and edit or remove the reviews on the page. The page was not actually set up by Dr. Gwen Korovin, it appears that even at this time the Dr. has not claimed her own Google Plus Business page. I recommend that she do so right away, if there’s a chance that she may be able to stop some of these horrible reviews from being posted and spammed on her page.

According to TMZ, Dr. Gwen Korovin has many celebrity patients, “Dr. Korovin’s patient list reads like a celeb who’s who. Her patients include Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Hugh Jackman, John Mayer, and Brooke Shields.”

In this case, I would advise Dr. Gwen Korovin to claim that Google Local Business page immediately and either get it removed completely or make some positive posts on it and have a few current clients post positive reviews on the page to get those current reviews moved down. However, the problem is that there are so many news reports about the situation that for online reputation management it’s going to be tough to get those negative articles moved to the 2nd page of search results for her name.
