New gTLD Domain Name Forum Launched

Posted on November 12, 2014 Written by Bill Hartzer

A New gTLD Domain Name forum has recently launched. The site, called gTLD.Link, is your everything link to the gTLDs. I’ve recently joined the forum, and so far have made several helpful connections through the site.

As you may know by now if you haven’t been following my blog, I’m a big fan of the new gTLD domain names, and especially the keyword-rich opportunities they provide. For example, I personally think that a domain name like “3Carat.Diamonds” is much “better” than “3CaratDiamonds.com”. The first one is much shorter, easier to remember, and the keywords are split up by the dot in the name.

I’ve recently done some research and analysis of the new gTLD domain names versus the .com sites, and found that in certain cases Google appears to prefer the new gTLDs over the nearly identical keyword rich dot com domain names.

Right now, there are domain name forums out there and they have areas to discuss the new gTLD domain names. But currently there is only one domain name forum dedicated to the new gTLDs, which is gTLD.Link. Here’s a breakdown of the topics being discussed:

Newly Acquired gTLDs
Recently Sold gTLDs
gTLDs For Sale
gTLDS Wanted
End User Sales/Purchases
gTLDs Live Now
gTLD Development
Developers Wanted
gTLDs in the Wild
gTLDs in the News
gTLD Resources

Whether or not you are a fan of the new gTLD domain names, I bet you have questions about them and experts like myself will be hanging out on the forum from time to time to answer any questions or comments that you have.

Again, here’s the link to the new gTLD domain name forum:
