In the past 24 hours, Microsoft has registered 43 new domain names–all related to their new Microsoft Surface tablet. These new domain registrations were done a day after their announcement of this new product.
All in all, Microsoft registered 47 new domain names in the past 24 hours, three of them were cloud-related and one was related to Microsoft “flight”. Here is the list of Microsoft Surface domain names, which includes some typos, that Microsoft registered:

The main domain name, Surface.com, was acquired by Microsoft a while back. What is interesting note about these recent domain name registrations is that certain TLDs were notably absent (such as certain .NETs and .ORGs), while some of them were registered on June 18th, 2012 (the date of the announcement), and some were registered the following day.
