In the past 24 hours, Disney Enterprises, Inc. registered a few new domain names. I normally monitor the domain names that are registered by major companies on a regular basis. Disney doesn’t register a whole lot of domain names. But, they currently own 15,000 domain names total. In the past 24 hours, though, they registered three new domain names:
What is interesting to me, though, is this new domain name that they registered: StarWarsMasterTheForce.com, which, spelled out, is “Star Wars Master The Force”.
I checked the domain name, and it currently is set up with a 301 Permanent Redirect to DisneyInternational.com:
Sending request: GET / HTTP/1.1 Host: www.starwarsmastertheforce.com User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:27.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.0 Referer: http://www.rexswain.com/httpview.html Connection: close • Finding host IP address... • Host IP address = 18.104.22.168 • Finding TCP protocol... • Binding to local socket... • Connecting to host... • Sending request... • Waiting for response... So, if you are a Star Wars fan, what do you think they are going to do with this domain name? As for those other domain names, FarkleNation.com and FarkleNation.net, I have no clue. What do you think?
