The actual voting is internal only to SEMPO. The voting period will open on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 5 PM GMT (12 PM ET) and will close on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 10 PM GMT (5 PM ET). The 2008 Board will consist of 13 individuals who will each serve a two-year term.

I’ve wondered about joining SEMPO but didn’t really see it as that relevant to me. Seeing that they are going to appoint 13 Directors is a shocker too. I fail to see how any organisation smaller than Microsoft needs 13 Directors! What are they possibly all going to do, other than sit in board meetings working out how to claim expenses?
Sorry but this is not good evidence that SEMPO is being run well. Maybe it’s just me, I prefer small, lean and efficient management structures, unencumbered by the weight of their own bureaucracy.
