GoWare Rolls Out First Community Around User-Generated Content on the Mobile Web

Posted on May 23, 2007 Written by Bill Hartzer

DoMo HomePage users can now share all or part of their mobile portals with friends and the public as well as rate and bookmark their favorite user-generated mobile content. Go Ware has just rolled out new features for its DoMo HomePage personal mobile portal service that give users the ability to publish all or a part of their mobile portals for use by friends or the general public. These user-generated portals are available on the new DoMo HomePage Community website.

With DoMo HomePage, users can quickly and easily create personalized mobile portals tailored to their interests that draw content from both PCs and the Web. Through any mobile browser, DoMo HomePage users can have access to a custom mash-up of their favorite content, including World news, social networking sites, high tech blogs, stock market data, even the photo and music collections on their PCs.

Starting this week, they can also share all or part of their portals with friends and family, or make them public and share them with the world. DoMo HomePage users simply provide a name, description, category and keywords and the portal is instantly listed on the DoMo HomePage Community site where it can be viewed, rated, and passed along to other users via SMS and email. Soon, users will also be able to bookmark public portals and access them on the DoMo HomePage Community website from any mobile device with a browser.

DoMo HomePage takes the frustration out of using the mobile device for Web and PC access by letting mobile phone users create personalized mobile portals for convenient delivery of all of their content through a single page on their mobile browsers. Using any browser, DoMo HomePage makes it possible for users to access a mashup of Web content (news, blogs, podcasts), PC files (documents, photos), and application data (Outlook, QuickBooks), quickly and easily from their mobile device. DoMo HomePage is available to the public as part of a free beta trial at http://www.domohomepage.com/.

GoWare, Inc. is a software development company focused on providing solutions that help users stay connected to, and in control of, their content while on the go.
