Cision, a company that provides business and communication intelligence by providing media research, distribution, monitoring and communication evaluation, as well as target group identification, has teamed up with PR Newswire, a company provides electronic distribution, targeting, measurement and broadcast services. PR Newswire is also known for their distribution of press releases on the web.
This partnership between PR Newswire and Cision is will allow expanded distribution capabilities through Cision’s MediaSource solution. Now companies will have the ability to distribute press releases to a wide range of web sites, databases, and online services—including the New York Times, AOL, Yahoo!, MSN, MarketWatch, and CNN, as well as 3700 other web sites and hundreds of RSS feeds.
Cision clients will also get an update report after the distribution of each press release called “ReleaseWatch™ that highlights the web sites that are posting the press release as well as the estimated audience figures.
As part of the partnership, Cision clients will also receive access to PR Newswire’s search engine optimization services that “optimizes” the distribution of the press releases by making them show up in Google and other search engines. They will also receive a summary report that details keyword phrases (search queries), the estimated total views, clicks, conversions, and the number of views from search engines.
