An interesting thread on Reddit reveals data, and a graphic, about the world’s most valuable brands.
Here’s the latest list, as of June 9, 2017:
Apple $170.0B
Google $101.8B
Microsoft $73.5B
Facebook $56.4B
Coca-Cola $54.1B
Amazon $43.9B
Disney $41.1B
Toyota $40.3B
McDonald’s $38.2B
Samsung $37.9B
GE $36.7B
AT&T $33.3B
IBM $31.4B
Intel $30.7B
Cisco $30.7B
NIKE $29.6B
Mercedes-Benz $29.2B
Verizon $28.9B
Louis Vuitton $28.8B
I pretty much would expect these brands to be on the list of the world’s most valuable brands. But, I am quite surprised how Facebook has gotten to be in the top 5 so quickly. Brands that have been around for longer aren’t as valuable as Facebook. Another observation? I’m surprised that Louis Vuitton is on the list. I know it’s a valuable brand, but maybe because it’s just not a big part of my life?
