Top Ten Pay Per Click Search Engines

Posted By Bill Hartzer on February 26, 2007at 11:31 am

PayPerClickSearchEngines.com has published their top ten list of PPC search engines. In other words, a list of what they’re calling the best pay per click search engines.

Here’s the list of the top PPC search engines, along with comments from PayPerClickSearchEngines.com. I’ve also added a few comments about each one.

Top Ten Pay Per Click PPC Search Engines

Google AdWords – The biggest and best for volume, traffic quality and user interface. Payperclicksearchengines.com says it’s the most expensive. But that makes sense because it has the most traffic.

Yahoo! Search Marketing – First GoTo.com, then Overture, now Yahoo! Search Marketing. Both high volume and quality with a few bargains still around. Yahoo! Search Marketing recently upgraded their system, and there have been a lot of issues related to the upgrade. If you’re thinking of becoming a Yahoo! Search Marketing client then I would hold off for now until this upgrade can become more stable.

MIVA – One of the best, yet more underrated PPC search engines. Used to be FindWhat.com

Enhance – A strong emerging PPC search engine with solid quality control.

GoClick – Cheap traffic, with a growing and loyal following. Has had what I would call “major” inconveniences like reporting errors and overcharging advertisers.

7Search – A smaller search engine with good quality traffic. Good interface. I’ve personally met the guys behind 7Search at some Search Engine Strategies conferences, and they’re good guys.

Search123 – One of the first PPC search engines. Cost effective with good support.

SearchFeed – Strong ROI with a reasonable search volume. Geo-targeting available with 11 countries you can specifically focus on.

ABCSearch – Solid targeting, decent traffic sources, and good customer service.

These are the top ten PPC search engines; keep in mind that there are a lot more out there, including SuperPages.com who is not on this list. I wouldn’t necessarily call them a PPC search engine, but since they accept PPC ads then I would put them on the list. I would currently put them third on the list (behind Google AdWords, then Yahoo! Search Marketing).

Have you had any experience with any of these PPC search engines that you’d like to talk about? I’d love to hear your experience.
