Thomson Reuters Agrees to Acquire MarkMonitor

Thomson Reuters has signed an agreement to purchase MarkMonitor. This acquisition of MarkMonitor, based in San Francisco, California, is said to “strengthen the broad portfolio of intellectual property solutions from Thomson Reuters”. The completion of the acquisition is, of course, subject to standard regulatory approvals, and the actual terms of the transaction were not disclosed publicly.

MarkMonitor provides domain name management, brand protection, AntiPiracy, and AntiFraud. MarkMonitor uses a SaaS delivery model to provide advanced technology and expertise that protects the revenues and reputations of the world’s leading brands.
