Search Engine Rankings – Search Market Share for May 2011
As you probably know by now, every month I make it habit of posting the latest search engine market share–the search engine rankings for the previous month, as provided by comScore. As such, comScore has released its monthly comScore analysis of the United States search marketplace. As always, Google‘s web sites led the search market again in May 2011 with 65.5 percent of all search queries conducted in the United States. 90 Percent of Searches Conducted in Latin America are Conducted on Google
According to a new report out from comScore, 9 out of 10 searches conducted in Latin America are conducted on a Google-owned website. comScore has released the results from a study of the search engine market in Latin America. In the past year, search queries in Latin America surged up 21 percent to more than 18.5 billion queries in March 2011. [Read more…]

Online Video Rankings for February 2011; Hulu Generates 1 Billion Video Ad Impressions
comScore has released the online video rankings for the month of February, 2011 in the United States. The comScore Video Metrix service shows that 170 million U.S. Internet users watched online video content in February 2011 for an average of 13.6 hours per viewer. The total U.S. Internet audience engaged in more than 5.0 billion viewing sessions during the course of the month. [Read more…]

comScore Report: Twitter Usage Exploding in Brazil, Indonesia and Venezuela
comScore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR) has just released a report on Twitter’s explosive growth worldwide. The comScore study found that in June 2010, about 93 million Internet users visited Twitter.com. This is an overall increase of 109 percent over last year. Indonesia reported the highest number of users, with 20.8 percent of Internet users in Indonesia visiting Twitter.com in June of 2010, followed by Brazil and Venezuela. Venezuela’s growth fueled in large part by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez’s decision to join Twitter in late April 2010. This just goes to show that if you do not have a Twitter social media account for you or your business, then you need to set one up right away. [Read more…]

comScore December 2009 Search Engine Rankings
comScore, Inc. has recently updated its monthly comScore qSearch analysis of the United States search marketplace. In December 2009, Americans conducted 14.7 billion core searches, with Google Sites accounting for 65.7 percent search market share, virtually unchanged from 65.6 percent in November. User Centric Releases Results of Eye Tracking Study: Google Versus Bing
User Centric has released the results of an eye tracking study that compares data between Google and the new Microsoft search engine Bing.
