Jonomor’s AI Visibility Framework Targets ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity

Posted on April 8, 2026 Written by Bill Hartzer

Search is shifting again. This time, the rules are not just changing—they are being rewritten. Jonomor, a Brooklyn-based studio, has launched a new AI Visibility consulting practice aimed at answering a question most companies are only starting to ask: when a customer uses ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity, does your business even show up?

The firm is not focused on traditional rankings. It is focused on citations inside AI-generated answers. That distinction may sound subtle. It is not. It changes how visibility works, how authority is measured, and how businesses compete for attention.

From Search Engines to Answer Engines

Search engines rank documents. That model has defined SEO (Search Engine Optimization) for decades. Pages compete. Links matter. Keywords influence positioning.

AI systems operate differently. They retrieve entities, not just pages. An entity is a defined concept such as a company, a product, or a person. When an AI assistant responds to a query, it selects which entities to include in the answer. If a business is not recognized as a strong entity, it does not appear.

That is the gap Jonomor aims to close. The company has formalized a new discipline called AEO (Answer Engine Optimization). AEO focuses on making businesses visible inside AI-generated responses rather than just search engine results.

The 50-Point AI Visibility Framework

Jonomor’s approach is structured. The firm has developed a 50-point AI Visibility Framework that defines how AI systems evaluate whether a business should be included in an answer.

Core Signals That Influence AI Visibility

Entity clarity determines whether a business is clearly defined across the web. Schema architecture, which refers to structured data markup, helps machines interpret that entity. Topic cluster density measures how well a site covers related subjects in depth. Cross-domain authority evaluates how consistently that entity is referenced across multiple sources.

Each signal contributes to a broader outcome. Either the business appears in AI responses, or it does not. There is little middle ground.

This is where the shift becomes practical. Traditional SEO can produce traffic even with partial optimization. AI visibility tends to be binary. You are cited, or you are ignored.

Proof Built Before Promotion

Jonomor did not release the framework without testing it. The firm applied the system across eight of its own digital properties before offering it to clients. These properties span multiple industries, including contract analysis, financial research, software platforms, and AI monitoring tools.

Examples include Guard-Clause, which focuses on AI-driven contract analysis, XRNotify, which supports XRPL (XRP Ledger) webhook infrastructure, and MyPropOps, a property operations platform. Other properties include The Neutral Bridge, Evenfield, and AI Presence, each targeting distinct technical and commercial use cases.

In April 2026 audits, all eight properties scored 48 out of 50 on the framework. Each achieved what Jonomor defines as Authority status across all five evaluation categories. That consistency serves as the firm’s proof of concept.

Why AI Visibility Matters Now

The shift toward AI-assisted search is no longer theoretical. Tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini are already influencing how users research products, compare services, and make purchasing decisions.

In many cases, users no longer click through multiple pages. They rely on summarized answers. Those answers include a limited set of cited sources. If a business is not included, it is effectively invisible in that interaction.

This creates a new form of competition. Businesses are no longer competing for position on a results page. They are competing for inclusion in a single answer.

That is a tighter funnel. It rewards clarity, consistency, and authority at the entity level.

Tools and Services to Measure AI Presence

To support adoption, Jonomor has released a free AI Visibility Scorer. The tool allows businesses to evaluate how well they are positioned for inclusion in AI-generated answers. It provides a baseline score based on the same framework used in internal audits.

For companies that require deeper analysis, Jonomor offers paid audit packages starting at $799. These audits include a full 50-point diagnostic, schema evaluation, content cluster gap analysis, and citation surface review across major AI platforms.

The process is methodical. Identify gaps. Measure signals. Adjust structure. Improve visibility.

A Shift That Mirrors Early SEO—But Moves Faster

From a strategic perspective, this shift resembles the early days of SEO. Businesses that recognized the importance of search visibility early gained long-term advantages. The same pattern is emerging here.

Ali Morgan, founder of Jonomor, states that firms that adopt AI Visibility early will build authority long before competitors respond. That advantage compounds over time. Once an entity is consistently cited, it becomes part of the default answer set.

This creates a feedback loop. Visibility leads to more visibility. Authority reinforces itself.

Implications for Digital Strategy

The introduction of AEO changes how businesses should think about digital presence. Content still matters. Structure matters more. Consistency across domains becomes critical.

From an SEO perspective, this expands the focus. Traditional ranking signals remain relevant. They now sit alongside entity-based signals that influence AI systems. Businesses need both.

This also impacts brand strategy. A company must be clearly defined across platforms, data sources, and content ecosystems. Fragmented signals reduce the chance of being selected by AI systems.

In practical terms, this means aligning structured data, content architecture, and external references. It means treating visibility as a system rather than a collection of tactics.

The Direction Is Clear

Jonomor’s launch highlights a broader trend. AI is changing how information is retrieved, how decisions are made, and how businesses are discovered. The introduction of AEO formalizes that shift into a measurable discipline.

Companies that adapt early will gain a visibility advantage. Companies that wait may find themselves absent from the answers their customers rely on.

Search is no longer just about ranking pages. It is about being selected as the answer. That distinction will define digital visibility for years to come.
