Search Engine Marketing Traffic Jam

I was doing some blogging over the weekend and came across a blog that was sending one of my blogs (yes, I have quite a few of them) a considerable amount of traffic. Not only was it sending traffic, it is listed as the number one search result for a Yahoo! linkdomain: search of one of my blogs. This, mind you, is quite a pretty big task, as that particular blog has over 170,000 backlinks from other major blog sites.

I prefer to check the backlinks using a search at Yahoo! using a linkdomain search like this one. I use this particular search because it’s updated fairly regularly, and Google’s link check is pretty much useless anyway. I occasionally will use MSN, but I really prefer to keep tabs on backlinks using the Yahoo! linkdomain command. By the way, as I recall it was Tim Mayer who told me about using the linkdomain search at one of the recent PubCon conferences.

So, as I was investigating the site further, I noticed this post that really piqued some interest. Perhaps it was some sort of meme thing going around, just like what Werty posted or maybe it was this. In any case, starting a Search Engine Marketing traffic jam might be a cool thing to do. So, let’s get this thing going and feel free to take a few links:

To join in, choose a post from your blog to highlight, edit it to add a link to this post, and then send a TrackBack.

If you have a post that you think is your best blog post so far, edit it and link back to this post. By the way, this really isn’t link building or anything like that: I’d just like to see your favorite posts or your best post. Perhaps it will inspire me to talk about you here or in another blog.
