.ME Domain Name Registry Holds Social Media Contest

The .ME domain name registry, .ME Registry, is holding a social media contest. There are prizes for everyone who participates during this social media contest, and three grand prize winners will receive a Canon EOS Rebel T3 Camera.

If you follow .ME on Twitter and retweet the .ME contest once a day during contest period and you’ll get a free .ME domain name registration. There are 3 grand prize winners, and the .ME Registry will announce grand prize winners (winners receive a Canon EOS Rebel T3 Camera), on Twitter during the week of Oct. 1.

Officially, the name of this social media contest is “You’re Not a .com, You’re a .ME”.

Predrag Lesic, CEO of the .ME Registry, had this to say about the social media contest for .ME:

People who want to show the world that they are a person, not a corporation,” said Predrag Lesic, CEO of the .ME Registry. “We invite people everywhere to join us on Twitter for a chance to secure their preferred .ME domain name before it’s taken by someone else.”

To enter the social media contest, you have to follow .ME on Twitter. Then, retweet the contest tweet once a day to receive the free .ME domain registration.

Between at 9:00:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on Monday, September 17, 2012 and 11:59:59 p.m. EDT on Friday, September 21, 2012 (“Promotion Period”), one Tweet per day will be sent out from the @domainME account on Twitter.

To enter, you must have a non-private Twitter account and follow the @domainME account on Twitter. You will receive one (1) entry per 24 hours each time you retweet one of the Tweets from the @domainME account on Twitter during the Promotion Period.

Prize Drawing: A random drawing will be conducted from all eligible entries received by the Administrator to award the three (3) prizes. The Administrator’s decisions shall be final in all matters relating to the Promotion. Drawing will be conducted on or about September 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time in Morton Grove, Illinois, USA.

Prizes/Odds: Three (3) prizes will be awarded: Each winner will receive a Canon EOS Rebel T3i 18.0-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera (Body only). Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): USD $579.00 / CAD $573.47each. Total ARV of all prizes: USD $1,737.00 / CAD $1,720.41. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
