Paying to Boost Organic Search Engine Rankings on Google

Google has always been adamant about the fact that paying for Google AdWords ads will not boost your site’s organic search engine rankings. Google’s AdWords database is not shared with their organic search algorithm or any of the databases connected to it. So, I do believe Google when they say that paying for Google AdWords ads won’t boost your organic search engine rankings. But what about paying for other promotions, paying for traffic in other ways? Will that boost organic search engine rankings? Yes, it will, you can actually pay for organic search engine rankings.

At the Digital Summit Dallas, I was interviewed by Vizion Interactive about paying to boost organic search engine rankings. You’ll have to watch the video below to understand exactly how I was able to boost a page’s rankings from page 4 of the Google search results for a particular keyword to the first page of search results. Now that’s what I call boost organic search engine rankings.

I have seen some cases over the years where a company has started a Google AdWords campaign, drove lots of traffic to their site, and that traffic caused people to search for a particular product, company name, and brand. That drove more demand, more search queries, and ultimately did boost the site’s organic search traffic.

But this is different.

Paying to boost your organic search engine rankings does not have anything to do with Google. Essentially, you’re paying to promote a certain URL on social media sites such as on Facebook. It’s the traffic and social engagement that boosts the page’s natural search engine rankings.
