Retrevo, a site where you can research, shop, or fix electronics, has hired executives from Yahoo!, PC World, and Macrovision. These new hires coincides with the site’s preparations for the launch of new services that are supposed to help us make better, faster and smarter consumer electronics buying decisions.
Retrevo is the ultimate in consumer electronics search, and has hired Yahoo! Inc. veteran David Galvan. He joins the company as vice president of business development.
In his new role, David Galvan leads partnerships with online retailers, publishers and advertisers. Galvan joins Retrevo from infoUSA, where he was senior vice president of business development in charge of database licensing, e-commerce and private label directory assistance products. Prior to infoUSA, Galvan spent four years with Yahoo! as the director of business development, managing activities across a number of properties including Yellow Pages, Local, Search, Real Estate, Classifieds, Pets, Maps, City Guides, Autos, tickets, and employment. He is a graduate of Stanford University.
Robb Lewis has been hired as vice president of product management, and comes from from Macrovision’s Trymedia Games.
As a pioneer in digital commerce, new vice president of product management Robb Lewis has been creating innovative e-commerce, DRM and Interactive advertising product solutions for more than ten years. Lewis was most recently senior director of product management with Macrovision’s Trymedia Games, where he drove the e-commerce and interactive marketing product strategy for Macrovision’s games network.
Andrew Eisner, a former PC World executive producer, joins Retrevo as director of community and content.
Andrew Eisner, Retrevo’s new director of community and content, comes to the company from PC World Magazine where he helped create an award winning website. Eisner is well versed in technology products having helped establish and run Ziff Davis’ premiere test lab. He has worked in and out of publishing and has held marketing and technical positions at many high tech companies in Silicon Valley.
