MarketNet to Hold Seminar Series on eBusiness Evolution

MarketNet has officially announced our new “seminar series” on eBusiness Evolution…and our first seminar on “Web 2.0” will be held on April 19th, 2007, here in Dallas, Texas.

eBusiness is evolving rapidly, especially with the new advancements in social computing, social networking, and social bookmarking that result from advanced Web 2.0 capabilities that are now being added to web sites.

These new Web 2.0 changes are forcing business and corporations to rethink how their products and services are marketed now on the internet. To help educate Dallas/Fort Worth Area companies about Social Computing and Web 2.0 (as well as “business 2.0”, MarketNet is conducting a series of seminars that talk about the “eBusiness Evolution.”

The first part in this series will be held on April 19, 2007, entitled “Web 2.0”. It’s being co-sponsored by RedDot, The Open Text Web Solutions Group.

I recently talked to Jill Bach, founder and one of the seminar presenters:

“We are in the midst of a paradigm shift in how businesses interface with their customers online. This is a crucial topic for many of our clients and we are hoping that this seminar will help them understand what buzz topics such as ‘Web 2.0’ and ‘Social Computing’ really mean for their business.”

If you’re interested in attending the first part of these webinars, the first one hour seminar on April 19th, 2007 will discuss:
– What are Web 2.0 and Social Computing?
– Why are they important to businesses?
– Innovative ways that businesses are already using these concepts.
– Developing an online strategy to change your business
– Security concerns in the quickly growing online marketing landscape.

The presenters for this seminar are Jill Bach and Matthew Brown. Jill founded MarketNet in 1994 and is one of the early pioneers in web site development. Jill’s vision and knowledge has lead MarketNet to create innovative ways to use web-based technology to make businesses more profitable. Matthew joined MarketNet in 2007 as Senior Director of e- Commerce.
