I´m also finding it hard to work with all the social media sites to their fullest potential. There simply is not enough time, and then you need to prioritise.I believe that social sites are the future and I´m going to be involved with them.

I really DO believe in a huge explosion of users of social media. They're democratic, free, mass impactant, and with still many unexplored possibilities. As demonstrated, in Latin America and its almost unexpressive actual number of users, growth will be much more potent, opening fields to markets and possibly changing media exposition.

"It is expected that by early 2008, all the various social media sites will have more than 230 million members. That number is predicted to grow until 2009, with a leveling off on the number of new members expected by 2012."

It already is early 2008?

As a blogger that uses social media for networking, I find the proliferation of social media sites to be troublesome. It is very hard to find the time to work each site to it's fullest potential. I am sure something will change, and yes, some consolidation will probably occur.

This change in the web landscape has made me look more into developing plugins and software for APIs instead of rolling my own software. A lot easier to get a project finished, uploaded to my site and given away free for traffic.
At first I saw all the web apps as the enemy since I develop freeware to promote my site, but no longer.
