We have received their spam for several years now. Being that I am fluent in Spanish and German we already have pages translated on our sites and yes, we are easily found on foreign search engines. I have reviewed a number of their translated pages they have sold to website owners and the quality, grammar and even basic spelling in both German and Spanish are appalling and a total embarrassment that makes those sites look even worse than they would without those pages.

After also getting many of these emails I decided to look at this jokers website. He charges $500 per each language you want your site translated into! And the pricing page doesn’t state how many pages you can have translated for $500, so I don’t know if thats per page or what? Anyway just the way this pricing works seems like one big scam to me, the way it just calculates the price as $500 out of the air per each language without any reference to how many words or pages they will translate for that amount. Seems they are just looking to rip people off for a quick $500 and supply no service at all maybe.

I got the same email. But the company name is: Multilingual Search Engine Optimization Inc
But the address and email content are the same.

Has anyone actually purchased his services? Aside from the annoying spam, is the work they do legitimate? I actually would like our website translated to promote our international business. Unfortunately I haven’t found any reviews from anyone actually having their site translated by them – good or bad.

hmmm, total spam. i never give these things a second thought. though one of my clients has been “duped” into thinking this is legit … arg!!! gotta try and explain that it is spam. bleg

Thanks for telling us this person is a spammer, I just got an e-mail from him to my e-mail address for the same reason with a site I administrate. I should have known about this before I forwarded it to the site manager of the site, which I did so because it looked legitimate. Good thing I found this out, though, I sent an e-mail to my site manager telling her not to respond to that e-mail. I should have known better than to respond to it, I get spam like that all of the time.

Dr. Marc’s got another “company”: Multilingual Search Engine Optimization Inc., although the rest of the email is essentially identical.

After reading this blog, I think perhaps Dr. Marc would have more success with saying: if you don’t pay us, we’ll make sure your site shows up on all the international search engines.

I didn’t give this a second thought re: spam/scam, because his language immediately turned me off: “Who is my contact? Who should I speak to??” He just sounds so overwrought and anxious.

What’s really funny is his follow-on email starts off with: “Did you receive the e-mail which I sent to you recently (copied here-below)? Please confirm since I have had problems lately with emails intercepted by spam-filters set too high.” Yeah, no duh. I’m sure he *has* had problems with spam filters!
