SO interesting. Personally, I just recently started watching Youtube, after I got rid of my TV and realized I was missing having some colorful moving pictures to stare at every once in a while (heh). But among people younger than me (let's say, 25 and under especially) watching Youtube is huge! It's no longer some solitary activity you do when you're bored alone. They watch youtube TOGETHER! like it's TV! There's even social networking sites, like 6rounds.com, where the youtube is embedded in the network, and they can watch it while webcam chatting with each other. It really boggles the mind.

Thanks for this blogpost. I have been looking all over for this information. And you know what, I agree a lot of users do use YouTube as even a SUBSTITUTE to television. Me for example. I don't really care about the ads though.I noticed that youtube has just turned into one huge ad junkie site. They keep promoting the same 4 people.
