blinkx Partners with Travelistic – Adds Travel Video to blinkx Search Index

blinkx, a video search engine, has partnered with Travelistic. As a result, thousands of hours of video content are now fully searchable at the www.blinkx.com site. Travelistic is a vacation and travel info video site. Under the terms of the blinkx Travelistic partnership agreement, blinkx will transcribe and index the Travelistic library of video content. Travelistic’s content is user-generated and professionally produced video footage of travel destinations from around the world.

Travelistic.com hosts a big variety of travel videos, including user uploads, professional content, and tourist board videos. Blinkx is a pioneer in video search technology, having established its reputation as the “smartest way to find new forms of rich media content online.” blinkx has indexed over sevn million hours of video and audio content, including television shows, news clips, documentaries, and music. Blinkx has more than 150 partners.

blinkx is a privately-held company based in San Francisco and London. More information is available at www.blinkx.com. Travelistic is owned by Diversion Media, LLC, a New York-based publisher of broadband channels for niche consumer audiences, with an initial focus on the travel, leisure, and recreation categories. Diversion was founded in 2004 by former MTVi and SonicNet CEO Nicholas Butterworth. Diversion’s technology team is led by former iFilm executive Tatum Lade.
