It’s all because Google has established itself as the titan in internet world. I bet only 1% of the people living in today’s world don’t know what Google is. Anyway, unless you are a genius else Google won’t spend a penny on you to work for them. I have friends working in Google get really high pay !! The survey opens up my eyes anyway. Keep up !

Right out of school students are just looking for the biggest name to drop in front of their friends. They soon come to realize that working for the big man isn’t always all its cracked up to be.

Does it mean that students in these days are wanting to do something challenging and creative. Along with huge growth of products by Google, it is going technical. In a few more years, it will be difficult for an ordinary webmaster to handle all products and webmasters will have to hire highly educated staff for that,

Google definitely has its perks. I am surprised that the life/work balance was so high. I would say my thing I look for is being dedicated to a cause or to feel I am serving a greater good. I want to feel like I make an impact. But hey, Google, you can call me anytime. i would love to bring my dog to work in my pajamas, get free lunch, doctor appointments and massages.

Although trends that determine how an ideal employer should look like Google being first on the list is no surprise. What actually might be somewhat surprising is that having balance between work and life wins by such high margin in career goals. I’d expect young people to be maybe more ambitious and willing to burn out to prove themselves rather than just have comfortable job above all.

And for Sherrie’s comment, Google isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Those who adapt survive and some companies that have been around a while fail to remember that!

Judging by all the Apple products that I see on school campuses, it’s pretty obvious that a lot of these kids wouldn’t mind working for one of the hottest companies right now. They have great products, and I’m sure a great work environment for their engineers etc. On the other hand, the situation is probably quite different working at a retail Apple shop.

the survey was JUST NOT needed

everyone..literally everyone will love to work for Google when he/she comes to know about the facilities which big G offers..

food..lavish life…lavish buses for pick and drop…and what not…

it is heaven…but you need the entry fee…BRAINS
